Family Support is defined as cash assistance, benefit or service provided by professionals, members of the family or other family support entities due to the disability or eligible condition of a member of a family. The support occurs in the natural environment of the family and addresses the emotional, health, maternal well being, parenting and disability related concerns of the family in a self-directed, culturally responsive way and which builds upon the strength of the family.

Parent to Parent Support

Parent-to-Parent is a program whereby "veteran parents" (those who have several years' experience raising a child with a disability) provide information and emotional support to parents who are encountering, for the first time, the responsibilities and opportunities of raising a child with a disability.
